SMS / Text Message Consent

My XO Adventures may send text messages to help answer your inquiry, plan your private tour, and manage tour logistics if you choose to receive texts from us. This page explains what we may send, how you can opt in, and how you can stop text messages at any time.

Texting is optional. You do not have to agree to receive text messages to book a tour or ask us a question.

What we may text you about:
My XO Adventures may text you about your inquiry or booking, tour logistics, pickup details, schedule or timing changes, weather updates, waiver reminders, and guest support. These are conversational and transactional messages tied to your own inquiry, reservation, or tour.

We do not use this SMS consent for bulk promotional text messages, unrelated marketing text campaigns, newsletters, coupons, friends-and-family rates, or promotional offers.

How to opt in:

Online contact form
Our Contact form includes an SMS consent checkbox that is unchecked by default. You opt in only if you check the box yourself. The form explains what texts may be sent, that message frequency varies, that message and data rates may apply, and that you can reply STOP or HELP.
Phone or verbal consent
If you call us at 605-252-9100, or if we are helping you by phone, our team may ask whether we can text you about your inquiry or tour. We only text you after you clearly say yes.

When verbal consent is collected, we record the date, time, phone number, staff member, consent status, and script used. If you do not give consent, we will use phone or email instead.

Stopping text messages:
Reply STOP to opt out of text messages. After you reply STOP, we may send one final confirmation message and then stop texting you.

Help:
Reply HELP or call 605-252-9100 for help.

Message frequency varies based on your inquiry, booking, and tour activity.

Message and data rates may apply.

Privacy:
We do not sell or share your phone number or SMS consent with third parties for their marketing. Texting is not required to book. For more details, please see our Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions.

Scope of this consent:
This SMS consent is for tour-related text messages only. It does not sign you up for marketing emails, newsletters, coupons, friends-and-family rates, or promotional campaigns. Any future email marketing would require separate email consent.
